Seahawks sign a free agent OG! April 5, 2007

Ah, but it’s Chris Gray. It appears as if Gray will return to the Seahawks with a new two-year deal. The 36-year old guard sat on the free agent market for some time, unable to garner any interest. With the addition of Gray, Seattle’s line is dangerously close to returning to its 2006 form, a form that ranked 30th in the league.
Not enough can be said about what Gray has contributed to this team. He’s been a true team player. A dedicated member of the club. An integral part of the team that made it to Super Bowl XL. Unfortunately, time has caught up to Gray, and as last season showed, he just isn’t as effective as he used to be. This is an instant where the Seahawks are grabbing for straws. After losing out on the big name offensive guards, the front office is just going through the motions.
I really do hope Chris Gray proves me wrong, but we are talking about a man that will be 37-years old when the 2007 season starts. My advice to the ‘Hawks front office, trade for, or sign, a guard that will make an impact on this team. If you don’t, your investment in Shaun Alexander will see little, if any, return.
Hi.
Good design, who make it?
Um, I made the banner and organized the general layout but the rest is just one of the WordPress themes, Regulus by Ben Gillbanks. I like it a lot. I is very customizable (as far as WordPress themes are concerned).
