Anyway, Collin Cowherd told his listeners to unleash a DNS (Denial-of-service) attack on the sports blog, The Big Lead, for some unknown reason, perhaps to take the sports blogging community down a notch. This is a pretty low blow for a guy who has a pretty cushy job, a job a lot of us in the blogosphere would love to have.

As an aspiring writer who knows he never has a chance writing for a big-time company like ESPN, it makes me sick when these so-called experts become too smug for their own good. That great thing about the internet its ability to give Joe or Jane Schmo a voice in whatever interests them. When someone, like Cowherd, feels threatened by this new form of media, why can’t they just step up their game or admit they aren’t as good at what they do as they thought they were?
