Rex Grossman to practice with Seattle DBs January 11, 2007

Don’t ever accuse Bears coach Lovie Smith of never thinking outside the box. In a move that is interesting to say the least, Smith and Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren have worked out a deal that would allow Grossman to practice with the Seattle DBs for a few hours before the playoff game this Sunday.
“In the teams last game against Green Bay, Rex had a 0.0 quarterback rating. Clearly I’m doing something wrong as his coach. We needed ideas.” a frustrated Smith told reporters.
It was Bears quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson who came to Smith with the idea. “I just figured since Rex completed more passes to the opposing team than to his own team during that game, why not switch it up. This whole practicing with your own team has been real hit-or-miss with Rex this season.” Hit-or-miss indeed. In the Bears first game against Green Bay, Grossman recorded a 98.6 quarterback rating. Perhaps an intensive practice session with the Seahawks DBs is just what he needs.
Holmgren agreed to Lovie’s request because his DBs are either a) hurt, or b) suck. “Our turnover differential is a -9. A negative f*cking 9! Our defense couldn’t get a hand on a ball if it was their own testicle!” Holmgren told reporters. “I figure it will give our DBs a chance to see what a football looks like so when it hits them in the hands they don’t drop it like it’s the herpes virus.”
Seahawks DB Pete Hunter seemed excited. “Oh no, I’m not excited about that. I’m just excited to be playing again. Did you know that I was training to be a United States border patrol agent? Thank goodness when post season came around, the Seattle front office was apparently taken over by Matt Millen and a few retarted gorillas. I was real close to hitting rock bottom there.”
Teams will do anything to win when the post season rolls around. Lord knows both teams need help.
Be safe kids!
