I need to say this, I love Tony Romo! I know you are feeling pretty bad right now Tony, but take solace in the fact that the entire Northwest loves you. That being said, I also love the Seahawks. That is how you play a game. Make your fans sweat it out.
For those of you that live under a rock and don’t follow the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Cowboys in thrilling fashion tonight. The final was 21-20 and it was as wild a finish as you’ll see in the NFL this postseason. The Seahawks looked good at times and down right terrible at others. ‘Hawks QB Matt Hasselback threw for 240 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. My new favorite player, Tony Romo, threw for 189 yards and one touchdown. Romo played a near perfect game except for one play. On fourth and inches, the Cowboys went for a field goal that would have put them up 23-21. Romo was the holder for the field goal, and I’m guessing that may be the last time he plays that role. He botched the snap and attempted an end around to get to the endzone but Seahawks CB Jordan Babineaux got him by the ankles, mere inches away from the endzone. That play determined the game.
I hate to throw the word destiny out, but I’m feeling it. After the Seahawks were robbed or the Super Bowl last year, one has to think the football gods smiled on them tonight. I have one thing to say. One down, three to go!
